Prasline were first made during the reign of Louis XIII. Marechal Duc de Plessis-Praslin made gifts of these delicious grilled almonds in exquisite boxes to the ladies of the Court. Unchanged since its conception and has been handed down over the centuries.  The recipe of roasted caramelised almonds is a closely guarded secret.
